Hall Hire
ST. ANDREW'S, UPPER and LOWER HALL FOR HIRE, particularly for the use of people in our local community and their friends.
The Upper Hall has a high ceiling, and is a bright “cheerful” room
with many windows.
It is a large space, measuring 14 meters by 10 meters.
It is centrally heated.
Tables and chairs can be provided.
It can be accessed via a set of stairs.
Unfortunately there is presently no disabled access.
The fee for hiring is very reasonable considering the large, brightly lit space.
Currently our hall is being let to adult groups for yoga on three weekday evenings.
The Ground Floor (lower) Hall has a kitchen fitted with fridge, microwave and dishwasher.

There is disabled access via Star Road and the room has a disabled toilet.
The fee for hiring is very reasonable considering the estensive facilities available.
Currently this hall is being used on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Conditions of hall hire
1. All bookings, whether regular or occasional, must be made through the Halls Manager and must be paid for in advance. A cheque for £100.00 made payable to St Andrew’s PCC for the deposit must also be given to the Halls Manager.
2. Booking times must be adhered to strictly and the Hall only used within those times.
3. Any key loaned to the hirer must not under any circumstances be given to a third party or copied and must be returned at the end of the session unless an agreement has been reached for long-term loan. In the case of long-term loan the key must be returned on demand of the Halls Manager.
4. The PCC of the church will from time to time review the charges appropriate to the booking of the Hall and will notify long-term hirers of any change three months in advance of implementation.
5. The PCC reserves the right to cancel any booking in exceptional circumstances.
6. In the case of long-term hire the PCC and/or the hirer undertake to give three months notice of a decision to bring the letting to an end.
7. The hirer is responsible for all insurances relating to the activity undertaken including public liability insurance.
8. The Hall must be left tidy and clean. All rubbish must be removed from the premises and not left outside the church. Any breakages or damage to the building must be reported and paid for on receipt of a quotation for the work.
9. No activity that will disrupt services in the church will be possible during the times of service, it is the responsibility body hiring the hall to check there is no potential clash with church activities. Lists of weekly church services are on the notice-boards. Special services will take place from time to time and these will always have precedence over any other activity. The PCC will endeavour to give notice of such activities. There are some activities which the PCC will not wish to authorise within the hall if it is felt there may be a conflict between the activity and the Christian ethos of the church community. The PCC’s decision on this matter will be final and not open to negotiation.
10. All licences for activities held in the hall must be obtained prior to commencement of any hiring. Similarly the body hiring the hall must make sure that they are complying with regulations with regard to Fire regulations. Smoking is not allowed in any part of the building.
11. If the activity taking place involves children the organisation takes the responsibility for ensuring that adequate child protection policies are in place within their organisation.
12. No activity may be advertised giving the impression that it is sponsored by the church.
13. This agreement does not create any form of tenency between the organisation hiring the hall and the PCC.
