The Slade School (whose artists recently competed in the Stations Competition here) have an opening night for the BA finals show on Friday 16th May. I am going and would be happy to be accompanied by a group from church. Please let me know if you may be interested. It is 6pm-9pm and I would suggest we leave here at about 7.30. Fr Martin
Stewardship Campaign: the responses of the stewardship campaign are being analysed and a display will be put up showing the outcome. At this stage it is possible to say that structured financial support for the church has been very dramatically increased allowing us to achieve many of the goals set out at the start of the camp aign. More details to follow in the next weeks. Thank you very much again to all of you who have responded so very generously to the campaign. Fr Martin
New trees for North End Good news: for North End Ward. The Council and Fulham NDC have secured a small budget for 5-10 new Trees in the North End Ward which are to be plant over this winter. Tree walkGavin Simmons - H&F's "tree man" will be leading a walk of interested residents around the ward on Saturday 31 May at 10am. We will look at planting spots for the new trees as well as talk about existing trees, best varieties, planting styles, constraints on planting etc etc. We will meet outside the Deli on Charleville Rd. Please grab your coffees and come on outside so we don't clog up the space inside. Please do come along and participate in the "greening" of your ward. It's also a great opportunity to admire the lovely architecture and comment on other issues. Let me know if you are coming so we don't leave without you. Opportunity to fund a tree yourself For approximately £150 you can fund an extra tree for our neighbourhood. This is a great thing to do: to mark a family occasion, as a gift for a small child who can walk past their own tree every day and see it grow and flourish, to help green / beautify your neighbourhood. Friday 20th
7.30pm Opening cabaret and dinner evening with a wide range of entertainment including Good in Parts (a clerical barbershop quartet!), Songs from the Shows, Sketches, Cabaret acts, the Lambeth Walk and buffet dinner. Programme and dinner £10.00.
Saturday 21st
Church open all day
10-12noon - Children’s music workshops and performance for all school-age children. Followed by sandwiches and cake. Free, no need to book just turn up, no previous experience needed.
4.15pm - Afternoon, tea-time organ recital plus cream teas. Free recital, tea £5.00
8.00pm - Evening concert by Commotio - Oxford’s leading vocal ensemble - performing a selection of popular choral works. Programme £10.00, concessions £5.00.
Sunday 22nd

10.00am - Choral Eucharist with Festival Choir
12.00noon - Lunch available for visiting artists and guests
5.30pm - Reception with the Bishop of London (by invitation)
