Children and youth

Children are central to our way of thinking about the gospel. Jesus was clear –“let the children come to me and do not prevent them”. We have dedicated one whole side of the church for parents and children to be present during worship and to absorb what it is to see those around them engaged in worship.

Coronavirus update

Children's Church and Sunday Youth are back (see below for details) and we are currently intending to resume the W14 Friday Youth Club from Friday 6th November. Sadly our others provisions for children and youth continue to be temporarily halted due to Covid-19, but our youth worker Jacob, or Rev'd Anne (for pre-school activities), are available by email.

Children’s church is starting again!

Sundays 10am family communion

Children and young people are an essential part of our Church community and are welcome at any service.

On the 1st Sunday each month we have an All Age service in which the children and young people take an active part.

On the 3rd Sunday each month the children are invited to participate in Children's Church (during the morning service), with singing, fun activities and exploring the day's Bible theme. Children's Church is primarily for those aged 2-10, and strict COVID-19 prevention measures will be in place. You can read our risk assessment here

Songs & Stories

Wednesdays 10–11.30am (currently suspended)

Songs and Stories is a fun and exciting place to be! Parents and children are led through a series of action songs, have a break to share fruit, before story time and bubbles. The cost per family is £2, but this may be waived in cases of need. New people are welcomed nearly every week. Some choose to stay for lunch in the café, which serves child sized portions of the meal of the day. The sessions are attended largely by people with no other connection to St Andrew’s church.

Sunday youth group is back!

Every 3rd Sunday of the month at 10am

Young people are an important part of our Church family and we are always looking for new ways to empower and encourage our young people. On the 3rd Sunday during the service at St Andrew's, we run a youth group for school year 6 up to 16 years. We dive deep into the big questions of faith and life, whilst having fun and sharing snacks. From time to time, we gather outside of our normal time for fun trips and events, we also join our area of Churches on the annual youth weekend away. Please note, at present we are operating under strict COVID-19 prevention measures - but, that doesn't mean the fun stops! You can read our risk assessment here

That's OK too! We also offer activities, games, craft and a place to chill. We run trips and a joint Summer Camp with the Girl's Groups.
