Creation Care

"The future of our fragile, beautiful planet home is in our hands. As God's family, we are stewards of God's creation. We can be wantonly irresponsible, or we can be caring and compassionate. God says, "I have set before you life and death... Choose life."

-Desmond Tutu

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of St Andrew's Fulham Fields has declared and recognised a climate and ecological emergency. We believe as Christians that it is our duty and joy to celebrate and preserve all of God's creation: planet, people, animals and everything in between. The climate emergency is worsening - we must all do our bit. Whilst we don't believe that we are perfect in our response, we seek to be good stewards and play our part in tackling the greatest threat to humanity. In 2020, the PCC approved the formation of a sub-group to consider the church's response to the climate crisis and how we as a church might respond positively in our own lives and the community around us.
