Baptisms, weddings and funerals

The church is delighted to share in the major life events of birth and marriage...

and to offer support at the time of death.

Baptisms & Confirmation

If you would like to have a child baptised or confirmed then please contact the parish office.  Confirmation usually takes place once a year at St Andrew's.

Baptisms: We would plan to meet with you to get to know you and talk through what this means – and look at different options for the service. You can read more about baptism/christening on the Church of England website.

We also have groups which meet weekly and specially cater for parents and pre-school children. We would love to welcome you.

Weddings

If you are planning a wedding... congratulations!  We want to make your day special at St Andrew's Church. Please contact the parish office. We will then arrange to meet and discuss dates, plans and lead you through some preparation for your marriage.  Read more about marriage in the Church of England.

If you are getting married at another Church of England church and need to have your banns read at St Andrew's, please contact the parish office.

Funerals

Our clergy work closely with local funeral directors and are available to assist at the time of death. We can come and anoint the sick, journey with the family and then conduct the service either at the church or at the cemetery or crematorium. Memorial services can also be arranged.

Read more at the Church of England website.

We are available to all at times of joy and sadness.  If you would like to speak to a member of the clergy please get in touch.
