At St Andrew’s we are committed to worshipping God with creativity and confidence within the broad tradition of the Church of England. The Eucharist, Scripture, and prayer are at the heart of our worship, enriched by a strong musical tradition.
The main act of worship is on a Sunday morning, but gatherings continue on Sunday evenings, and throughout the week. The building is open daily for private prayer.
1st Sunday of each month: All Age worship where children and young people play an active part in the service.
Remaining Sundays: Parish Eucharist with choral music, Scripture readings, sermon and prayer. There is children church and youth provision each Sunday during the service.
1st Sunday of each month: Choral Evensong - a beautiful ‘cathedral style’ service of music and prayer with anthems and organ voluntary. We are very blessed by the substantial choir at St Andrew's, who have been invited to sing in cathedral churches across the country (and beyond!). You can read about and listen to our choir here.
3rd Sunday, Sacred Space: a creative service of compline with reflective sermon and music both ancient & modern.
Other Sundays, a simple service of Evening Prayer following the Book of Common Prayer.
Join us in the Lady Chapel at 8:30am Monday-Thursday to start the day with prayer.
We also stream this on our Facebook page.
A short weekly service of Holy Communion. Join us for a simple soup lunch afterwards (£1 suggested donation).
