Who we are

St Andrews is a diverse, inclusive and vibrant Church of England parish church worshipping in the liberal catholic tradition. In common with many parishes in Hammersmith and Fulham, St Andrew’s reflects the diversity of the area with members drawn widely from both the affluent streets and the social housing estates that surround the church. This brings a richness to the congregation which is appreciated and welcomed. The church is inclusive and actively encourages the participation of the wide variety of people, enjoying the cultural breadth of the area and a wide range of ages, nationalities and educational backgrounds. On a typical Sunday there are babies, toddlers (enjoying the children’s area in church), children, teens, young adults, families, singletons, ‘empty-nesters’ and senior members. We aim to offer tailored activities to draw in these as groups, but also opportunities to mix and learn across different combinations. Unusually for London, most members live within walking distance of the church.
